The 2016 CMA Music Fest is Fast Approaching! A Trip to Nashville Sounds Like Music to Our Ears!
If you love, love, LOVE country music, a trip to the CMA Music Fest should be at the top of your “To Do” list this year. Almost all of your favorite country music performers will be in Music City with the common goal of thanking of you, the fans, for your loyal support.
Music is literally on almost every corner during CMA Music Fest! It is the perfect time to check out new artists and add new music to your play list! Are you totally fine with your regular favorites? Check their schedule! Chances are they have a lot going on that week too and you’re invited to be right there while they are “working.”
Officially, CMA Music Fest is June 9 through June 12. That should be plenty of time for people with limited number of vacation days to have an amazing weekend full of great music. It’s highly recommended to try to get Nashville early for all the pre-activities if you can though. We recommend arriving on Sunday, June 5, getting plenty of rest, and then diving into all the cool stuff on Monday!

Monday, June 6
Country Goes Global! Interational Country Artists Perform Leading Up To 2016 CMA Music Festival
Each June, Country Music enthusiasts from around the world travel to Nashville for CMA Music Festival. But fans aren't the only ones crossing borders to attend the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience; international Country artists also make the pilgrimage to Music City to perform at CMA World GlobaLive!, a free, international Country Music showcase on Monday, June 6 (6:00-10:30 PM/CT) on the outdoor stage at Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Nashville.
Artists performing during CMA World GlobaLive! (alphabetically by country and performer; lineup subject to change) include:
Australia
Troy Cassar-Daley - Four-time CMAA Entertainer of the Year with multiple Gold and Platinum albums.
Karin Page - The 2016 Toyota Star Maker winner, one of Australia's most prestigious Country Music talent searches.
Caitlyn Shadbolt - A top 5 contestant on "The X Factor," a highly-rated national music program.
Canada
Raquel Cole - She grew up in a musical family and is the reigning CCMA Discovery Artist.
Chad Brownlee - An NHL draft pick and songwriter with multiple Top 10 hits and the winner of several BCCMA Awards.
Brett Kissell - Headlining CMA World GlobaLive!, Kissell has won two Canadian Country Music Awards, and the Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2014.
New Zealand
Kayla Mahon - Featured on the Overs category on "The X Factor" (New Zealand) TV series, she is also the 2015 CMANZ Horizon Award winner.
United Kingdom
Frankie Davies - A popular songwriter making a name for herself and her all-female band in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Nashville, and the U.K.
Pauper Kings - Friends from York, they started out as session musicians before forming a band. They are currently working with Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts on their next album.
Tuesday, June 7
The City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game: Presented by Staples
Some of Nashville's hottest stars are coming out for the 26th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game, presented by Staples, a fan favorite event and longstanding tradition of the CMA Music Festival. Playing to strike out cancer on the Grand Ole Opry and iHeartCountry teams will be Charles Esten, Vince Gill, Chris Lane, Scotty McCreery, Bret Michaels, David Nail, RaeLynn and Jamie Lynn Spears. These stars will step up to the plate on Tuesday June 7th at 3 p.m. from the expansive new field at First Tennessee Park in Nashville, Tennessee, along with more names to be announced in the coming weeks.

Those not able to attend the game can still support the cause. The CMT Music Awards!
On the heels of her historic and record-setting sixth "Video of the Year" win last year (her fourth consecutive win), reigning champ, Carrie Underwood, is set to protect her crown against powerhouse first-time nominees Chris Stapleton and Cam, who top nominations for the fan-selected "2016 CMT Music Awards." With three nominations each, including "Video of the Year," they will face off in top categories against superstars Blake Shelton, Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Sam Hunt and Thomas Rhett, who each garnered two nominations, live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 8 at 8pm ET/PT.
