Our "Q and A" With Daniella Monet! She's "Tootie!"

You know and love her as "Trina" on "Victorious" and she made a "Fairly" big impression on Nickelodeon fans in the first live-action "Fairly Odd" movie when she starred as "Tootie." Actress Daniella Monet took some time for a little "Q&A" to give us a little more insight into "A Fairly Odd Christmas" and life after "Victorious."

What can you tell us about "A Fairly Odd Christmas?"

A Fairly Odd Christmas is a really cute, funny, cheery Christmas movie that is jam packed with adventure. Timmy has to find a way to get off The Naughty List after he upsets Santa because he's been granting too many wishes. There are also a lot of sweet moments between Timmy and Tootie. I can't wait for people to see it!

What was it like reuniting with the cast to make another "Fairly Odd" movie?

Reuniting with the cast again was so much fun! I couldn't wait to do it all over again because we had such a wonderful time during the first live-action movie. This being a Christmas movie was one of my favorite things too because I absolutely love Christmas.

Is it easier to play "Tootie" a second time? Less preparation?

Playing Tootie a second time was definitely a little easier because I felt like I understood the character more and I knew how she would react to certain situations. I don't take a long time to prepare for characters. I typically pull from my own instincts about how to relate to a certain character and then I take it from there.

Do you have a favorite scene from this special?

One of my favorite moments from this movie was the scene where we got to ride candy canes down a zip line. That was really exciting and I love doing adventurous stuff. It was cool that they let us do our own stunts.

How is Tootie different in this movie vs. the first one?

The movie still features the zany characters and the trademark humor fans of the animated series have grown to love but the sequel sets their adventures in the North Pole. I think that's the biggest difference between the two movies. This time, Timmy and Tootie get to meet Santa and his elves! How great is that?

What did you guys do for fun on the set?

It was snowing for real where we shot the movie so we had snow mobiles that shuttled us around while we were on set and riding around on those was a lot of fun. I live in Southern California and I don't get to play around in snow so I had fun just walking through it. It was definitely exciting for me.

Do you have any big plans for the Holiday season?

I'm hoping to go to Northern California over the holidays. I think the holiday season in itself is so much fun. I love Christmas and everything that comes with it. I love the holiday music, the lights and all the pretty decorations.

What are your favorite decorations and/or music to listen to this time of year?

My favorite decoration is my Christmas tree. Last year, I put up a small tree that was about four feet tall. It was white and I decorated it in all silver and gold. It was hands down my most favorite decoration.

How hard is it to say goodbye to "Victorious?"

Saying goodbye to a show as great as Victorious was really hard but, much like the shows I grew up with, it'll live on forever in a way. Victorious has a huge fan base and I'm so thankful to all those loyal viewers who supported us. It was such a great part of my life. I'm just so grateful for the experience.

Did you keep any wardrobe or props from the show?

I was lucky enough to be able to keep a few of the shorts Trina wore on the show.

Any plans for another "Fairly Odd" TV event?

I'm not aware of any other big plans for A Fairly Odd Parents but I'll be the first person to sign on for any movies in the future! I've had such a wonderful time working with the cast, I would love to do it again.
