Super 8's Riley Griffiths Gets Goosebumps...

The super actor had a guest stint on "RL Stine's the Haunting Hour" on the Hub Network this past weekend and we got a chance to talk to him about that and his big "Super 8" movie role (the DVD comes out tomorrow!) Here's what he had to say...

When did you realize that you wanted to be an actor?
Ever since I stepped on the stage in first grade.

Were your family and friends supportive of your decision?
Yes, I am so grateful for my mom and dad's support not just in acting but in everything that I do.

What can you tell us about your guest appearance on “The Haunting Hour?”
It was a blast, the writing was amazing! Jason Furukawa is a great director and my costar Nick Purcha was really fun to work with.

How did you research this role?
I grew up watching Goosebumps, so I had a good idea what the format of the show would be like.

Do you have a favorite scene in this episode?
The scene in Big Yellow's lair when I was hiding.

Do you like scary movies and television shows?
Of course! I love the suspense and seeing other people's reaction's to the movie.

Another one of your projects is being released on DVD next week. How would you describe your experience on “Super 8?”
It was the best thing that's ever happened to me! It was awesome, I'm so blessed to be a part of it.

What do you remember most about being on set?
The fun times that I had with the cast and crew.

Do you still keep in touch with your co-stars from “Super 8?”
All of them. We're all good friends.

What do you do in your spare time?
Play football, school, hang out with friends, and travel back and forth from Seattle to LA for acting.

What advice would you give to aspiring actors?
Keep at it! Don't give up, just know that if you don't get a project there's other opportunities down the road and God has a plan for you.

One to Watch

Ryan Lee captured movie fans’ attention this summer with his breakout role in the hit film “Super 8.” Lee leaves a lasting impression on film goers, playing the memorable role of “Cary,” a friend of the main character’s (Joe), who has a tendency to carry firecrackers in a backpack and blow things up on a whim. This trait turns out to come in very handy when the group of friends has to save their town from unexpected visitors with cruel intentions.

TeenNick Honors Teens Who Are Doing Great Things! Watch “The HALO” Awards on November 6!

TeenNick appreciates teens that are changing the world by doing positive things to help others. They gathered stars like Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, David Beckham, Jessica Biel, Nick Cannon, Victoria Justice and Jason DeRulo to celebrate five young adults who have gone above and beyond in the quest to make the world a better place.

The fourth annual “HALO Awards” (Help And Leading Others) taped a special ceremony on October 26 at the Hollywood Palladium that will air on TeenNick, November 6, 2011 at 8:00PM (ET/PT). The 90-minute special features performances by Jason Derulo and Mary J. Blige and is hosted by Nick Cannon (who is also one of the producers of the show). Pre-taped segments of the show include four of the teens being surprised by Cannon in their native states and given grants for the organizations that they founded. They were also given the opportunity to spend time with celebrities with similar goals (Gaga, Swift, Biel and Beckham).
