Derek Theler on the Season 3 Finale of Baby Daddy
Secrets are Revealed as Season Three Comes to an End on "Baby Daddy!" Derek Theler Gives us a Sneak Peak!

Season three of the ABC Family show "Baby Daddy" comes to a close on June 18 at 8:30PM with a season finale that promises life-changing revelations for the characters, specifically Ben and his brother Danny. Before you tune in, find out a little more about actor Derek Theler, who plays "Danny" on the popular sit-com.
Just to recap, "Baby Daddy" covers the unlikely parenthood of Ben Wheeler and his baby daughter who he is raising with the help of his brother Danny, his mother, and his friends Tucker and Riley. Derek says the cast is as close off-screen as they appear to be on the show and that's the best part of his job. "The cast is some of my very best friends in the world. I love all of them. It's something that is very hard to find, and we are lucky. It really shows on the air how much fun we really have with each other."
Though every episode is sure to contain a lot of laughs and some heartfelt moments, there is one that stands out to the actor. "One of my favorite episodes was the renaissance festival episode, I got to wear a couple of different cool costumes. One of my costumes was a full on centaur costume and later in the episode I'm wearing full chainmail. That was fun."
Season three has had a lot of exciting ups and downs, and Derek gave us a quick recap of what has happened with Danny. "This season started off with Ben and Riley together, and Danny has had to deal with himself and how he feels about her. Then Danny has a moment he doesn't take with Riley, and it all circles back around with Danny finding someone. There's a whole love triangle with what he is going through."
While we don't want to spoil the finale, Derek let us know a little about what we can expect on Wednesday. "It's a big episode. A lot of things happen. Ben, my brother, finds out that Danny actually had feelings for Riley. Danny's current girlfriend gets a job offer in Paris, and Danny has to figure out if he wants to go with her. It's a lot of big decisions for Danny."

Speaking of big decisions, here is a fun-fact about Derek. Did you know that aside from acting, he actually has a degree in pre medicine? We asked about how he got into acting. "It was really tough. I made the decision that I was going to be an actor midway through college when I went to LA on a spring break trip. I showed up in LA and met a few people in the industry and I said, 'you know what, I want to take this seriously and really go for it.' While I was in school I started saving up and taking acting classes. I finished my degree even though it was a lot of hard work. As soon as I graduated, I moved to LA by myself with the little bit of money I'd saved up, and I'm glad I made that decision."
