Golden Globes Wrap Up
Awards season has kicked off in full gear with the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards airing last night on NBC. Ricky Gevais hosted while stars from TV and movies dazzled the red carpet and then worked the room inside the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. Big winners of the night were "Glee" who took home Best TV Series Comedy or Musical and Best Supporting Actor for Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch. The big film of the night was "The Social Network" who took home awards for writing, directing and Best Picture. Congratulations to all the winners!

New Shows Coming to Nickelodeon!
Nickelodeon Greenlights Multi-Camera Comedy Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures, Plans Packed First Quarter of New Series Premieres. Nick will Launch Five New Series in Early 2011, Including House of Anubis, Power Rangers Samurai, Bubble Guppies, Supah Ninjas and Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures.
Nickelodeon has picked up the new multi-camera comedy series Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures to add to its full slate of brand-new programming coming in 1Q 2011, it was announced today by Marjorie Cohn, President, Original Programming and Development, Nickelodeon. A multi-camera buddy comedy about two best friends on a never-ending quest for awesomeness, Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures is from executive producer Tom Lynch (The Troop, South of Nowhere), creators/executive producers Boyce Bugliari and Jamie McLaughlin (Quintuplets, Kid Notorious) and executive producer Jonathan Stark (According to Jim) under The Tom Lynch Company banner. The series begins production this month in Los Angeles for a February 2011 premiere in the U.S. and globally on Nick channels around the world.
Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures is one of five new series joining the top-rated network’s line-up in early 2011. Other series premieres include Power Rangers Samurai, the much-anticipated new generation of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers; House of Anubis, a comedy-mystery series adapted from the international TV hit; Bubble Guppies, a new interactive CG-animated preschool series; and Supah Ninjas, a comic book-style action comedy series.
“We’re excited to be kicking off the new year with a vibrant slate of homegrown and proven acquired properties,” said Cohn. ''The variety of these new series will super-serve our audience with something new for everyone.”
Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures is a buddy comedy about two surfer dudes navigating the small trials of everyday life. When Bucket (Taylor Gray) attempts to win over the affection of classmate Kelly (Ashley Argota), his best bud Skinner (Dillon Lane) decides to nominate him as class President, inadvertently causing him to run against the super-popular athlete Aloe (Glenn McCuen). Unqualified and totally unfit for student council, Bucket is forced to team up with the Kelly’s younger sister, the precocious Piper (Tiffany Espensen), in order to save face and try to win the heart of his dream girl.
Power Rangers Samurai, an all-new action- packed comedy, follows a new generation of Rangers who must battle the dark forces of the Netherworld to save the earth from destruction. Created by Haim Saban, who produced the original “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” series in 1993, Samurai is produced by SCG Power Rangers LLC, an affiliate of Saban Brands. The series is Executive Produced by Jonathan Tzachor, also from the original series.
House of Anubis, already an established Nickelodeon hit in Europe, is the first-ever Nickelodeon U.S. live-action show produced in the U.K. Combining mystery, comedy and drama, House of Anubis follows eight students who stumble upon and try to solve a hidden mystery at an English boarding school, while dealing with the highs and lows of their teenage years.
Bubble Guppies, Nickelodeon’s new interactive CG-animated preschool series, is created and executive-produced by Jonny Belt and Robert Scull and co-executive produced by Janice Burgess, the Emmy Award-winning team behind the hit Nickelodeon series’ The Backyardigans and Little Bill. Focusing on a wide-range of topics and everyday experiences kids can relate to – from dinosaurs to dentists, rock n’ roll to recycling, and colors to cowboys, this musical comedy set in a vibrant 3D underwater environment follows a group of diverse preschoolers with guppy tails who go on adventures discovering their world.
Supah Ninjas, which is comic-book in tone and cinematic in style, follows three unsuspecting kids who are drafted into the secret world of ninjas. Created by Eric Garcia and Leo Chu (Afro Samurai), the series is helmed by executive producers Garcia, Chu, Nat Bernstein, Mitch Katlin, Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett (Fred: The Movie) under the Varsity Pictures production banner.
Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures creators Boyce Bugliari and Jamie McLaughlin previously served as writers on Comedy Central’s The Showbiz Show with David Spade and Kid Notorious and writers/producers on Fox’s Quintuplets starring Andy Richter. Jonathan Stark previously co-created and served as executive producer/writer on ABC’s hit series According to Jim. Prior to that, he served as writer/producer on hit series The Drew Carey Show and Ellen and was also part of the writing team for Bob and Cheers.
Tom Lynch, founder and CEO of The Tom Lynch Company, began his career as a rock-n-roll producer on Don Kirschner’s Rock Concert and as creator-writer-producer of Night Tracks. With an extensive roster of creating television hits to his credit—including Nickelodeon series The Troop, South of Nowhere, Romeo!, Secret World of Alex Mack, Caitlin’s Way and The Journey of Allen Strange. Lynch’s other series include Just Deal, Skate, Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension, and the Emmy-nominated Scout’s Safari, which was set and filmed on location in South Africa. He rediscovered his musical roots with the hip-hop sitcom Romeo!, starring rap artist Master P and his real-life son, Romeo and Class of 3000, co-created with André Benjamin of OutKast.

Disney Releases the First Look Photos of “Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides!”
Jack Sparrow’s adventures continue in the next installment of the Pirates of The Caribbean series called “On Stranger Tides.” The highly anticipated fourth film of the franchise sails into theaters on May 20 and for rabid fans, the countdown has already begun. Disney has just released the first photos from the film which stars Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, Kevin R. McNally, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Sam Claflin and Geoffrey Rush. Though we will miss Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly, the film will definitely a Summer Must See!

Glee Gives Fans Royal Treatment!
On the heels of its sold out tour in the US, the cast of the hit series "Glee" will be taking its show on the road - to London England! After mounting a live stage concert event that played to sold out crowds and great acclaim in four American cities last year, Twentieth Century Fox Television and “Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy are proud to announce the “Glee” cast will travel to Europe to perform on the arena stages of London, Manchester and Dublin this June.

“I loved performing for the fans in Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix and New York last year and didn’t think there was any way to top that experience, commented Riley. “But performing in the great arenas of London, Manchester and Dublin? How cool is that? We cannot wait.” Added Monteith, “We had so much fun on tour last year that we were all itching to do it again. The fact that we’re going to Europe to perform for thousands of people is mind blowing. This show has been quite a ride.”

Wizardry goes haywire on a brand new episode of “Wizards of Waverly Place.” The Russo kids don’t take to kindly to the news that the Family Wizard Competition has been moved up a whole year and is now only a week away. Since Max is the only one who can get it changed back to its original date, Alex and Justin conjure up spells to transform themselves into Max. What happens when three Max’s show up at the commissioner’s office to plead for a postponement? Find out Friday at 8:30PM (EST). This episode is titled “Three Maxes and a Little Lady.”

It’s almost the end of the road for Hannah Montana fans as the next to the last episode of the series debuts at 8:00PM. In the episode titled, “I am Mamaw, Hear Me Roar,” Hannah’s Grandmother is disappointed when Miley flakes on their time together in order to be interviewed by Kelly Ripa. Now that the whole world knows her real identity, will Miley be able to continue to balance loved ones with fame?
“So You Think You Can Dance” host, Cat Deeley makes a guest appearance in a new episode of “Shake it Up” called “Wild it Up.” This episode finds Rocky getting upset when a blog refers to her as a “Goody-Two-Shoes.” When she tries to change her image, she lands in the principal’s office. Cat plays the principal! Catch this new episode at 8:30PM (EST).
Friday, January 14
Part one of the three part “Suite Life” special begins with “Twister: Part 1.” Bailey is having serious regrets about missing her grandmother’s 90th birthday, so London helps her get back to Kettlecorn. Only getting there doesn’t go smoothly for the two girls. Cody has no idea why Bailey has left the boat, so he heads to Kettlecorn to find her. Special guest stars on the episode include NBA stars Dwight Howard, Deron Williams, and Kevin Love. Find the episode at 8:00PM at 8:00PM (EST).
Saturday, January 15
The second part of the nail-biting Twister saga continues on January 15. Cody makes it to Kettlecorn to win Bailey back, however, he isn’t the only Ex who is vying for a second chance. Moose (played by Hutch Dano) is the home-town guy who is trying to win her back too. With the tornado coming, everyone must take shelter in the same small space. It’s there that Bailey is knocked into a “Wizard of Oz” type dream. See for yourself at 8:00PM.
Sunday, January 16
It’s hard to believe that the final episode of “Hannah Montana” (now named “Hannah Montana Forever”) is already here. Fans should tune in at 7:00PM EST for an hour long episode that wraps up the stories and friendships that have played out over the last five years. See how the Stewarts, Lily, Oliver, and Rico say goodbye. “Wherever I Go” is sure to be hard on the die-hards. Be sure to have some tissues handy.
The conclusion of the three-part “Suite Life on Deck” special airs on Sunday, January 16. The often talked about, but never seen, Mr. Tipton finally shows his face when he winds up in Kettlecorn to help Bailey and her family. Will the proud family let the Tipton’s and friends help? Tune in to “Twister: Part 3” at 8:00PM.
The Duncan family takes a much needed vacation on a new “Good Luck Charlie” episode titled “Snow Show: Part1.” On the first installment of this “To Be Continued” two-parter, Teddy sees a psychic who tells her she will meet her true love on this vacation. That would be good news if there weren’t boys coming out of the woodwork (including Spencer) all of a sudden. Meanwhile, her parents find out that they aren’t technically married and Gabe and PJ end up in their own trouble. Don’t forget to watch part one at 8:30PM.

Step in to the World of Dancing Like You Have Never Seen it Before! “Step Up 3” Busts Some Killer Moves on Blu-ray and DVD!
The third installment of the popular “Step Up” movie franchise astounded dance movies fans in theaters with its exciting 3-D effects. The home version won’t have you ducking to avoid “being hit by an arm or leg” but it is still just as exciting to watch the incredible cast of dancers showcase their mad dance skills.
The story here revolves around Luke and Natalie, two young New Yorkers who have grown up learning their dances moves on the streets. The two, street-smart dancers find themselves teaming up with new friend Moose (Adam Sevani, reprising his role from the Step Up 2) in the ultimate showdown between their dance crew and professionally trained Hip Hop dancers in the World Jam Dance Contest.
