Four Amazing Contestants… Only One Winner! “The Voice” Finale Begins Monday Night!

This is it! The moment we have been waiting for! After seeing a few early favorites go to soon, “The Voice” is still left with four incredible vocal talents! Tony Lucca is the last one standing on Team Adam. Chris Mann will represent Team Christina.  Jermaine Paul stands front and center for Team Blake. Representing “Girl Power” is the lone female of the four, Juliet Simms, who is Cee Lo’s mentee.  One of these contestants will be crowned the second season winner of “The Voice” in a two-night, nail-biting, finale that begins on Monday, May 7 at 8:00PM on NBC. 

Taking a break from preparing for the final round, the Top 4 stopped by Universal CityWalk in California to visit with fans and sing one song from this season’s incredible musical performances.  Though the fans were supportive of each artist, their screams increased when their favorite took the stage.  Leaning against a barricade, one woman tried to hide her face behind a poster as she had called in sick to work to attend.

It was a valid fear as the event was broadcast live on NBC.com, Facebook and at the NBC Experience Store in New York City.  Fans even gathered at the store and had the chance to ask their favorite a question. You can see everything you missed, including the amazing performances here:

Avengers Assemble...on the Red Carpet

Several super heroes turned out for the star-studded premiere of the much anticipated release “Marvel's The Avengers.” Favorite comic book characters on the big screen have done well in their own movies like “Captain America,” “Iron Man” and “Iron Man 2” and “Thor.”  Combining all these heroes into one feature film release is every comic book/movie fan’s dream! Fans only have to wait until May 4th for all of the action to explode on the big screen. 

In the meantime, the movies’ top stars hit the red-carpet at an all-star premiere.  Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders and writer/director Joss Whedon posed for photos and talked to reporters about working on the action-packed film. They were joined by special guests who were chomping at the bit to see the film.

Everyone Was a Winner at the Kid’s Choice Gift Lounge Sponsored by GBK, BOP and TigerBeat!

Before they watched their peers take home the Blimps at the Kid’s Choice Awards, tons of celebrities stopped by a gift lounge to find out the latest trends in the likes of jewelry, toys, technology, candy, and most importantly… how to give to people who need some support right now.

Sponsored by GBK, BOP and TigerBeat, several cool vendors were set-up at the swanky SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills to show off their great products to the parade of stars that passed through. The American Cancer Society provided the theme of “More Birthdays, Less Cancer” so the rooms were decorated festively, with a ton of balloons. Cupcakes were placed on tables by candy buffets, making it look like the best Birthday Party ever!

Awarding Our Future...Students Honored for Best in Film, Video and Digital Production

Last weekend in Hollywood the 33rd Annual College Television Awards took place at the Renaissance Hotel at Hollywood & Highland. The yearly awards show honors college students who have excelled in video, digital and film production. The black-tie event showcased the best of our future writers, directors, producers and creators along with already successful celebs from television, film and news production.

The College Television Awards are sponsored by the Acadamy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation which also puts on the Emmys. As with the Primetime Emmy® Awards, entries are awarded based on excellence in overall production. Successful television professionals spanning four decades have been College Television Award winners.

Getting Better With Age… The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Turn 25!

It’s a twenty-five year old tradition that is still the hottest ticket in town! Nickelodeon’s Kids' Choice Awards is a fan-voted awards event that is a “must attend” for today’s biggest stars. 

Actor, singer, Super – Dad, and all around great guy, Will Smith, served as host for the extravaganza that boasted musical performance by Katy Perry and One Direction.

Stopping by to pick up their coveted Blimp awards were the likes of Selena Gomez, Taylor Lautner, Big Time Rush, Justin Bieber, Jennette McCurdy, Kristen Stewart, and the cast of “Victorious.”

Leonard Nimoy Returns to Fringe Tonight Proving He’s Not Quite Finished Acting Yet!

Yep, that's right. Leanord Nimoy returns as “William Bell” on the season finale of the J.J.Abrams-produced sci-fi series “Fringe.” The episode airs Friday, May 11, at 9:00PM on FOX. Mr. Nimoy recently spoke to reporters in support of this guest-starring role.  While any fan of science fiction would have plenty to ask this iconic actor, the conversation primarily focused on two topics: the evolution of the character William Bell, and Nimoy’s brief semi-retirement from his acting career.

While the actor had hoped to enjoy some time away from work, he admitted he couldn’t resist the invitation to reprise his role on the show. “I’m a sucker for a good character,” he said, pointing out the directions the writers of Fringe have taken William Bell. When the character was first introduced, his motives were unclear, and the viewer and main characters were uncertain whether to trust him. As the series progressed, Bell proved himself and the questions about seemed resolved. Then the writers threw a curve ball.

With the introduction of a parallel universe and alternate timelines, Fringe took an entirely new direction. Now, Nimoy says, there are plenty of new surprises in store for viewers as to the lengths Bell will go to accomplish his goals: “Oh, you’re going to see some interesting things from William Bell tomorrow night. He has become a world of his own. Take that as a hint.”

As for Nimoy’s “retirement,” he gave no solid answers to how much we might see him in the future, but he said the circumstances were right for this appearance. Like his recent voice-over appearance as an action figure in a dream on The Big Bang Theory, he saw this as a project he simply enjoyed being a part of. Both Big Bang and Fringe are smart shows, he says, with talented casts, and when asked to make a guest appearance, he couldn’t resist.

As to whether he will make any appearances in Fringe’s upcoming final season, Nimoy says he hasn’t heard anything yet, but “I’m sure I’ll be getting a call.” With such an intriguing character and an iconic actor that we all love to watch, let’s hope he’s right!

Marvel Super Heroes Get Anime Treatment

Available today on DVD, "Iron Man the Animated Series" and "X-Men the Animated Series" in the Japenese format of anime. Both DVDs (sold separately) have all 12 episodes and feature behind the scenes looks at how the re-imagined characters came together, interviews with the creators and more.

In "Iron Man" Tony Stark arrives in Japan to help implement his goal of world peace by building the Arc Reactor, a carbon-neutral power plant that, once operational, will be able to provide limitless (thus free) energy to the world. Set to retire his Iron Man persona, and about to mass-produce a line of Iron Man armor known as "Iron Man Dio," Tony Stark's plans are derailed by a series of high tech Mech monsters. Zodiac, a top secret organization funded by the terrorist group A.I.M. is out to disrupt the Arc Station, steal the Dio armor and put an end to Iron Man. The Armored Avenger's fight is only just beginning. Iron Man is voiced by "Heroes" alum Adrian Pasdar.

"X-Men" follows the mutant heroes as they are reunited following the death of a teammate and are summoned by Charles Xavier to Japan following the abduction of Hisako Ichiki. There, they confront the U-Men, a lunatic cult that steals and transplants mutant organs to further strengthen their own army and the battle for justice is on. "X-Men" features the voice of Scott Porter ("Friday Night Lights") as Cyclops.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation Trailer
