Your Faves on "Make It Pop" Make it A Summer to Remember With a One-Hour Special Event!

XO-IQ is thrilled to win a coveted spot as the house band at the exclusive Sparkview Resort. The gang thinks they have scored a summer of fun in the sun. However, they encounter a few bumps along the way and it isn't exactly smooth sailing.

We did a Q&A with the girls, Megan Lee (Sun Hi), Erika Tham (Corki), and Louriza Tronco (Jodi) to find out more about this very special summer-y musical event! Check out what they had to share!

MEGAN LEE "SUN HI"

Q. What can you tell us about the one-hour special of "Make it Pop?"

This hour special will be jam-packed with fun summer music and drama!! We also have some really awesome guests who make appearances throughout the episode so, I'm super excited for fans to watch it!

Q. Do you have a favorite scene from the episode?

I really loved filming our musical numbers for this episode in particular. Perhaps because it was summer time and we were outdoors, but I just had so much fun filming them and it was super memorable.

Q. Did anything funny or crazy happen on set while you were filming?

There are videos all over on the internet of Louriza and I falling into a pool while filming a scene from this episode. It was pretty crazy. J

Q. How would you describe your character and do you have anything in common with "Sun Hi" ?

Sun Hi is a super upbeat and funky character who LOVES her cellphone, music and her fans. Sun Hi is the epitome of a diva and I must say I'm not as sassy and diva-like as she is, but one thing we do have in common is our passion for what we love to do and for what we believe in.

Q. What's it like working with this cast and crew?

Working with the cast and crew are always fun times and we create lots of precious memories together. Many people don't see it much, but TONS of hard work are put into creating a show like ours and I really appreciate everyone's talent and drive to make our show the best it can be.

Q. What do you guys do for fun during your down-time?

I LOVE watching movies AND going out to find different places to eat. I hang out with Dale and Louriza a lot on my downtime because we have a lot of similar interests!

Q. Can you tell us about one of your favorite summer memories?

I used to go camping at Yosemite Park for a weekend every summer and I had this rock collection as a kid. It was my favorite, most prized possession at that time and whenever I went camping, I would add to my collection. *chuckle* Ahh summer memories from elementary school years.

Q. Music is such a big part of the show - what's your summer playlist like?

I have a pretty diverse music taste so my summer playlist would have some EDM, to hip-hop, to some jazz-funk then some radio hits!

Q. What Nickelodeon show do you think "Make it Pop" should cross-over with?

I always thought crossing over with "School of Rock" would be amazing because they are also a music show too! Plus, I happen to be really good friends with the cast so I think we would have tons of fun filming an episode together!

Q. What's been your favorite part of Summer 2016?

Seeing my girls and Dale in Toronto, and hanging out with close family and friends have been my highlight of the summer. I'm so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people!

ERIKA THAM - "CORKI"

Q. What can you tell us about the one-hour special of "Make it Pop?"

The summer special features three new original songs and shows the characters in a completely new environment. Filming the summer special was very different to anything we've ever done before on the show and I really hope fans enjoy watching it!

Q. Do you have a favorite scene from the episode?

I haven't seen the episode yet but I really enjoyed filming the scene in the forest!

Q. Did anything funny or crazy happen on set while you were filming?

Yes! Megan and Louriza fell into the pool while we were filming "Misfits"

Q. How would you describe your character and do you have anything in common with Corki?

Corki is a hardworking, kind and loyal friend and I like to think that I am too!

Q. What's it like working with this cast and crew?

We've all been working together for two seasons now so being back on set with everyone felt very natural. It's great to be in an environment where you know everyone so well!

Q. What do you guys do for fun during your down-time?

Sleep!

Q. Can you tell us about one of your favorite summer memories?

Exploring the caves and lakes in Canada with my friends!

Q. Music is such a big part of the show - what's your summer playlist like?

I'm into all different genres of music so my playlist is very diverse! I love Elton John, Drake and Astrid S.

Q. What Nickelodeon show do you think "Make it Pop" should cross-over with?

Spongebob! I would love to see animated versions of Jodi, Sun-HI and Corki!

Q. What's been your favorite part of Summer 2016?

Spending time with my friends from overseas that I normally don't get to see when I'm working

Louriza Tronco - "JODI"

Q. What can you tell us about the one-hour special of "Make it Pop?"

The Make It Pop Summer Splash is filled with a completely new adventure for Xo-Iq! It takes place at Sparkview Resort where the band finds out we actually have to work there for the summer. The new circumstances challenges the bands' friendship and the identity. Hopefully they will pull through!

Q. Do you have a favorite scene from the episode?

I think my favorite scene would have to be actually filming the music video for "We Got It." It's full of energy and it's so cool we got to perform on a stage by a pool!

Q. Did anything funny or crazy happen on set while you were filming?

We had an awesome paint fight!! In the middle of it, I thought to myself... I can't believe this is called work!

Q. How would you describe your character and do you have anything in common with Jodi?

Jodi is very confident and independent. She has the dry, sarcastic humour in the group and she tends to get in a lot of trouble with boys.. I definitely share Jodi's sense of humour and love for fashion!

Q. What's it like working with this cast and crew?

It was so great to reunite! We are one big family so it definitely made me happy that we got to see each other again!

Q. What do you guys do for fun during your down-time?

I love boxing! I go 2-3 times a week. I also love cooking and dog watching!

Q. Can you tell us about one of your favorite summer memories?

One of my favorite summer memories is actually from last year's summer. I was hiking a mountain called "Grouse" in Vancouver, BC, when my producer called me and confirmed Season 2 of Make It Pop. I was literally climbing upwards so I was out of breath when he called and he was like..."uhh...what are you doing?" and I had to explain to him that I could barely hear him with the horrible reception but that I was excited to get the news!

Q. Music is such a big part of the show - what's your summer playlist like?

It consists of a lot of Rihanna and Ariana Grande. I've also been obsessed with Alex Aiono so I have a few of his covers on my playlist.

Q. What Nickelodeon show do you think "Make it Pop" should cross-over with?

I think it would be so cool to do a cross-over show with "School Of Rock!" We are both musical comedies and it would be so fun to jam with them!

Q. What's been your favorite part of Summer 2016?

I had my first cabin experience this year and that was pretty rad! It was so nice to turn off my phone for a couple of days and live in the moment!
